ForZe Discontinues Its VALORANT Team

ForZe Ends VALORANT Project and Exits Competitive Scene

ForZe, the Russian organization, has made the decision to discontinue its involvement in the VALORANT competitive scene indefinitely. This move comes after One Breath Gaming acquired three players from forZe in late September, resulting in One Breath Gaming taking forZe’s spot in the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier. As a result of this decision, the remaining players, Vyacheslav “Art1st” Lyadnov and Dmitry “SUYGETSU” Ilyushin, as well as coach Vladimir “Jil” Yasevich, are now free to explore other career opportunities.

ForZe’s investment in VALORANT began in May 2020 when they formed a team. They achieved notable success in the game, winning First Strike CIS over Team Singularity in December 2020 and CIS VCT Stage Three Challengers Two in July. However, their performance in the EMEA Stage Three Challengers Playoffs resulted in a top-eight finish, causing them to miss the chance to compete in Masters Three Berlin.

As VALORANT Champions approaches and the competitive calendar nears its end, ForZe is among the first organizations to completely part ways with its entire VALORANT roster. It remains uncertain whether ForZe will make a comeback in 2022 with a new lineup or shift its focus to other esports titles. ForZe currently has teams competing in CS:GO and FIFA.

The EMEA LCQ is scheduled to take place from October 10 to 17 and will feature G2, Team Liquid, SuperMassive Blaze, Oxygen Esports, Futbolist, Guild, One Breath Gaming, and Anubis Gaming battling for a spot in VALORANT Champions, the most prestigious tournament of the year.
