Fnatic Taps 2 European Players to Finalize VALORANT Roster

Fnatic to Sign Leo Jannesson and Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov for VALORANT Roster

Fnatic, according to a report by Alejandro Gomis, is set to sign Leo Jannesson and Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov, two notable players from the esports scene, to complete its VALORANT roster.

Former Masters: Berlin winner Chronicle was a part of the Gambit Esports roster, which had a successful run in the tournament. However, due to conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, the team took a backseat in the VALORANT scene and eventually split. Now, Chronicle and some of his former teammates are reportedly joining multiple EMEA-partnered teams.

Leo Jannesson, a young talent, gained recognition by playing with Guild Esports in 2021. Although he has limited LAN experience compared to other Fnatic members, his performance at Masters: Copenhagen earlier this year propelled him to the attention of franchised teams.

After a disappointing result at VALORANT Champions Istanbul, Fnatic made some changes to their roster. They moved James “Mistic” Orfila and Enzo Mestari to the inactive roster, allowing them to explore their options in the offseason. At the same time, Fnatic extended the contracts of Jake “Boaster” Howlett and Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev. With two empty slots on the team, Fnatic had to search for suitable players to fill them.

Please note that the reported signings of Chronicle and Leo by Fnatic have not been officially confirmed by the organization.
