Final VCT roster departure marks end of 1 era, paves way for VersionX superteam

Version1 Officially Parts Ways with VALORANT Player Effys

Version1 has officially ended its contract with VALORANT player Loic “effys” Sauvageau today. Effys was the final member of the team’s VCT roster still under contract. With this move, Effys will now enter free agency, while Version1 prepares to enter a new era of VALORANT competition.

New Game Changers Roster on the Horizon

Version1 is rumored to be assembling a new star-studded Game Changers roster under the VersionX banner. This new roster could potentially lead the team in future competitions. The organization is looking forward to this fresh start.

Several V1 VALORANT players have already left the organization in recent months. Coach Ian “Immi” Harding and players Erik Penny and Maxim “wippie” Shepelev joined G2 along with former Sentinels superstars Michael “dapr” Gulino and Shahzeb “ShahZam” Khan. Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro also returned briefly to V1 before joining Cloud9, alongside Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker.

Despite not having the same level of recognition as other organizations in NA VALORANT, Version1 has consistently performed well in the region for two years. They are one of the few organizations to have participated in international VCT events. Effys is among the handful of NA free agents with international VCT experience, including Marved and Will.

VersionX Game Changers Roster Expected to Take Center Stage

Version1 is expected to focus on their new VersionX Game Changers roster. This roster reportedly includes talented players such as Melanie “meL” Campone, Alexis Guarrasi, Ava “florescent” Eugene, Nicole “Noia” Tierce, and Sarah Simpson. It is anticipated that this roster will make a splash in the NA VALORANT scene.

Moreover, the VersionX team will have the opportunity to compete in the open qualifiers of the NA VALORANT Challengers League. This means they have a chance to make a strong run and potentially reach Ascension, the pinnacle of the VALORANT competitive scene.

A spokesperson for Version1 stated that the organization is currently working on its 2023 VALORANT plans. An update will be provided in the coming weeks.
