FaZe Marved Exudes Confidence in Winning the Match

FaZe Clan Dominates XSET in VALORANT Champions Tour Masters One

FaZe Clan showed its dominance against XSET in the VALORANT Champions Tour Masters One tournament. The victory didn’t come as a surprise to Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen, who believed in his team’s abilities.

XSET couldn’t keep up with FaZe’s aggressive playstyle, resulting in a swift 2-0 series win for FaZe. This outcome differed from their previous encounter in the VCT Challengers 2 main event, where XSET defeated FaZe on the same maps. However, FaZe was prepared this time.

Marved attributed FaZe’s improvement to their previous match against XSET.

“We have become more sophisticated in our team play,” Marved informed . “Additionally, we’ve made significant progress since then, thanks to our coach and collective growth. Everything just fell into place.”

Marved also expressed confidence in the team’s ability to win and mentioned that they have been in good spirits lately. FaZe is ready to face any team in the tournament and will focus on their strategy and gameplay in each match.

Upcoming Match Against Envy

FaZe will next be facing Envy in Masters One. Despite Envy being considered the top team in the event, FaZe remains unfazed.

“Our mindset going into every match will be the same. We’ll stick to our game plan and have confidence in ourselves. We’re not afraid of anyone; we’ll be just fine,” said Marved.

Star Player and Strategies

FaZe’s star player, Andrej “babybay” Francisty, has consistently outperformed the competition. In the match against XSET, babybay secured 42 kills and 18 deaths across both maps, constantly pressuring XSET and being one of the top performers on the team.

“He knows what he’s doing. As Jett, he makes intuitive plays, but we don’t let him recklessly charge in. Our team has strategies in place to cover him,” Marved explained.

The New Sentinels Roster and Expectations

FaZe might face the new Sentinels roster, which includes former Cloud9 player TenZ, in Masters One. TenZ joined the starting roster after Sinatraa’s suspension due to sexual abuse allegations. While this sudden change requires the Sentinels roster to adjust quickly, Marved believes they will still perform well.

“With TenZ playing Jett, they might move ShahZaM to Sova. They may lack some strategies, but if they’re individually on point, they could be a strong team. It will be exciting to see how they fare,” Marved stated.

The semifinals match between FaZe and Envy will take place on March 14 at 3 pm CT.
