FaZe Clan Defeats Sentinels, Keeps Hopes Alive in VALORANT Champions Tour
FaZe Clan emerged victorious in a thrilling match against Sentinels in the VALORANT Champions Tour playoffs. The 2-0 win not only crushed Sentinels’ playoff hopes but also gave FaZe Clan a lifeline to keep their Stage Two dreams alive.
Sentinels’ Emergency Substitute Puts up a Fight
Prior to the match, Sentinels announced that head coach Rawkus would continue to substitute for SicK, who had a family emergency. Despite the setback, Sentinels showed resilience and fought hard against FaZe Clan.
FaZe Clan’s Dominance on Fracture
The first map of the series, Fracture, was chosen by FaZe Clan. Although Sentinels made a comeback in the second half, FaZe Clan’s individual plays proved to be too strong. FaZe Clan secured a 13-11 victory, with Dicey leading the charge with an impressive K/D of 1.93.
Overtime Drama on Haven
In the second map, Sentinels chose Haven. FaZe Clan mounted a comeback on the attacking side, forcing the game into overtime. It was a back and forth battle, but FaZe Clan managed to secure a hard-fought 16-14 win. Once again, Dicey showcased his skills, while babybay’s standout performance on Neon stole the show.
Looking ahead, FaZe Clan will face Evil Geniuses in their final group stage match for a chance to make it to the playoffs on June 10. On the other hand, Sentinels will conclude their disappointing Stage Two run against Cloud9 on June 12.
