FaZe Clan Signs Former CS:GO Player Marved to VALORANT Roster
FaZe Clan has added 20-year-old Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen to their VALORANT team, marking his retirement from CS:GO after nearly five years in the North American semi-professional scene.
Marved’s notable achievement in CS:GO came in 2016 when he finished second in the ESEA Season 21: Premier Division – NA Finals, earning a share of $5,000. Since then, he has competed at the semi-professional level but failed to break into the pro circuit.
Marved is not the only former CS:GO player on FaZe’s VALORANT team. Twitch streamer and former CS:GO player JasonR leads the squad, alongside former Overwatch players ZachaREEE and corey.
Last month, Marved, corey, and ZachaREEE competed for FaZe in the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown, finishing fifth out of 16 teams but falling short to Immortals and TSM in the bracket.
While FaZe’s fifth VALORANT player remains unknown, former CS:GO professional dephh has filled in for the squad in the past. Dephh has an impressive history in CS:GO, having played professionally for about four years.
