Riot Games Releases Cinematic Celebrating VALORANT’s Launch in China
Riot Games has shared a new cinematic titled “United Together” to celebrate the launch of VALORANT in China. The cinematic showcases an action-packed match on Haven, where five agents work together to win the round. The abilities displayed are as epic as a Michael Bay film, with explosions and destruction throughout the scene.
A Team Effort to Victory
The cinematic centers around the Chinese Sentinel Sage and begins with her. The viewers are immersed in a Haven match where the team depicted is on the Defender side. The team consists of Sage, Viper, Jett, Sova, and Phoenix. While Phoenix initially tries to go solo, Sage manages to bring the team together and secure a win through strong teamwork.
A Twist and Warm Reception
The round takes an unexpected turn when Omen tries to plant the Spike using his ultimate ability at an undefended B Site. However, Sage single-handedly stops him before he can plant it, leading the team to victory. The cinematic has been well-received by the community, with players praising the animation quality and action-packed scenes in the YouTube comments and on Twitter.
VALORANT Launches in China
As the cinematic was released, players in China gained access to VALORANT on July 12 with the activation of local servers. China has become the 16th region to have its dedicated server for the game.
