Team Heretics Defeat Ninjas in Pyjamas in EU VCT Masters Quarterfinals
The key factor behind Team Heretics’ victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas in the quarterfinals of EU VCT Masters One today was their excellent first kill/first death differential, according to NiP’s Kévin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans.

Rematch Possibility as NiP Faces Acend
NiP still has a chance in the tournament as they face up-and-coming team Acend tomorrow. If NiP defeats Acend, they will earn a spot in the semifinals and potentially face Team Heretics again. Ex6TenZ is confident they can defeat Heretics in a rematch if it happens.
NiP Remains a Strong Contender
Despite being outclassed by Team Heretics in the quarterfinals, NiP is still considered a favorite in the tournament. Ex6TenZ believes his team is strong on Bind and Split, despite their loss on Bind.
The key strategy for NiP is to minimize giving away early picks, as playing a four-vs-five is never ideal. The team with the better first kill/first death differential has the advantage.
“Today it was about them killing us,” Ex6TenZ said, and it’s easy to agree with that assessment.
NiP’s final chance at reaching the semifinals will be tomorrow at 11am CT against Acend.
