Evil Geniuses Adds Former Dignitas Women’s VALORANT Roster to Their Team

Evil Geniuses Acquires Former Dignitas Women’s VALORANT Roster

Evil Geniuses is expanding its presence in the VALORANT scene by acquiring the former Dignitas women’s roster. The roster, known as EG VALORANT or EG Game Changers VALORANT, includes captain Emmalee “EMUHLEET” Garrido, Amanda “rain” Smith, Juliana “Showliana” Maransaldi, Melisa “theia” Mundorff, and Stefanie Jones. David “Xp3” Garrido will join as coach, while main roster coach Christine “potter” Chi will oversee both teams.

EG VALORANT Set to Make Debut at Astral Clash Event

In an interview with The Washington Post, EG CEO Nicole LaPointe Jameson revealed that the EG Game Changers roster will be based at the organization’s Los Angeles facility. The team will have access to subsidized housing, physical fitness conditioning, nutrition, and data-driven training. They are set to make their debut at the Astral Clash event starting on Aug. 6.

EG’s Growing VALORANT Division

The acquisition of the Game Changers roster is a significant step forward for EG’s VALORANT division. The organization initially entered the scene in 2021 with a mixed roster but eventually parted ways with all players except for potter, who became the head coach. After a challenging start in the NA VCT Stage One, the team improved and finished in the top six in Stage Two, qualifying for the LCQ. Notably, Stewie2K, a renowned NA CS:GO pro, recently shifted his focus to streaming VALORANT.

EG Aims for VCT 2023 Partnership

EG is actively seeking to strengthen its position in VALORANT and secure a partnered spot in VCT 2023. In a tweet, Jameson mentioned that EG is still in the running for a slot.
