ESPN to Organize VALORANT Invitational on April 20

ESPN Esports VALORANT Invitational: A Crossover of Pros

ESPN Esports is organizing its own VALORANT Invitational, featuring professional players from various esport scenes. The tournament will be a three-day series.

The teams and their members have not been announced yet. However, with eight rosters from seven different games, we can expect some big names to participate when the event kicks off on April 20.

In terms of competition, there will likely be some representatives holding an edge, especially since two teams consist of CS:GO players and VALORANT developers. However, the bracket seems to be well-balanced, promising an exciting showdown for fans.

The Invitational will include teams from the CS:GO, Fortnite, League of Legends, PUBG, Rainbow Six, Apex Legends, and Overwatch esports scenes. Additionally, the VALORANT dev roster, with potential participation from former CS:GO pro Salvatore “Volcano” Garozzo, will also compete.

Currently, the early favorites are the developers, as they dominated a team of FPS streamers, including shroud, Summit1g, Skadoodle, Dizzy, and Fl0m, in a showmatch last week.

The Invitational will take place from April 20 to 22, starting at 2pm CT, and will be streamed on the ESPN Esports Twitch channel. The full bracket and details about the individual rosters will be announced in the coming days leading up to the event.
