Envy’s New Addition Yay Drives Victory against TSM in NA VCT Stage 3: Challengers Playoffs First Round

Envy Tops TSM in VALORANT Showdown

In an intense battle to regain their status as one of North America’s top VALORANT teams, Team Envy came out victorious against TSM in the VCT Stage Three: Challengers Playoffs. This win puts Envy just one step away from qualifying for the upcoming Berlin tournament. The standout player of the match was Envy’s newest addition, yay, who previously played for Andbox.

The first map, Haven, began as a close game with a 7-5 score at halftime. However, Envy, powered by the skills of their recent additions Marved and yay, found their momentum and closed out the match with a 13-7 victory. In a thrilling moment, yay executed a successful flank, eliminating LeviathanAG, hazed, and bang consecutively with Jett’s knives. Despite being detained by Killjoy’s ultimate and ultimately dying to WARDELL, yay finished the match with an impressive 20 kills.

The second match on Breeze initially favored TSM, who led with a score of 10-2 at halftime. However, Envy staged an amazing comeback, winning seven consecutive rounds while on the attack. Ultimately, WARDELL’s exceptional 24 kills and mastery of the Operator weapon helped TSM secure a 13-11 victory.

The deciding map, Ascent, saw Envy dominate with a 13-8 score. Once again, yay played a crucial role, showcasing his skill with Jett and securing 20 kills. Subroza led the server with 22 kills and pulled off a remarkable ace, but it wasn’t enough to lead TSM to victory in the series.

Envy’s journey continues with an upper semifinals match against Sentinels, the champions of Masters Reykjavík, at 7pm CT. TSM will face Rise in tomorrow’s lower bracket match as they continue their quest for a spot in Masters Three.
