Envy’s kaboose: TenZ as a stand-in creates fear for all teams at VCT NA Masters One

Team Envy’s Jake “kaboose” McDonald Considers Sentinels a Major Threat in VALORANT Masters

Team Envy is widely regarded as the top team in North America’s VALORANT Champions Tour: Masters One. However, kaboose believes that Sentinels, with their newest addition Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, pose a significant challenge to every team in the event.

Sentinels recently announced that TenZ will be substituting for Jay “Sinatraa” Won following sexual abuse allegations. With TenZ coming out of retirement, kaboose sees Sentinels as a “very scary” team.

According to kaboose, TenZ was considered the best player by every pro during his time as a player. He had the ability to hard carry every game. Seeing him return to the field is interesting, especially given that he has joined a team like Sentinels, which has been consistently performing well.

While TenZ was one of the top players in the world during his tenure with Cloud9, kaboose believes that teamwork is crucial to defeating Sentinels and their newest addition.

“To prevent TenZ from consistently winning one-on-one duels, you need to set up crossfires and have strong teamwork,” kaboose stated. “They will lack practice, so beating them with teamwork is key.”

Envy recently defeated Sentinels twice, including a 3-0 sweep in the grand final, during the VCT Challengers Two. This victory erased any doubts about Envy’s ability to beat Sentinels.

Apart from Sentinels, kaboose also sees Immortals as a potential threat. He believes they have adapted to a new playstyle that has been working well for them.

Envy’s recent success includes a quarterfinals victory against Gen.G, led by food with 53 kills, the highest in the match. They will face off against FaZe Clan in the semifinals on March 14.

Despite the addition of TenZ to Sentinels, kaboose still firmly believes that Envy is the best team in North America.
