Envy snatches victory from 100 Thieves in VCT NA Challengers Finals

100 Thieves can no longer advance to Masters Two in Iceland after losing back-to-back series at the VCT NA Challengers Finals. They started strong against Version1 but fell short against Sentinels and Team Envy.

In their matchup with Sentinels, 100 Thieves had a close loss on Haven but bounced back with a dominant 13-3 win on Icebox. However, they struggled on Bind, losing 13-4. The team had no time to rest as they faced familiar opponent Team Envy in an elimination series.

Both teams traded maps on Bind and Ascent, leading to a crucial third map on Haven. In the final round of regulation, Envy had a 12-11 lead on defense. With the bomb planted, it came down to a 1v3 situation for 100 Thieves’ nitr0. Although he managed to eliminate two opponents with headshots, he was left with only five health points. Envy’s Victor finished him off and secured the defuse for a 13-11 victory.

As a result, 100 Thieves are out of the VCT NA Challengers Finals, denying them a chance to compete at Masters Two. However, Team Envy remains in the competition and will face Version1 in the lower bracket on May 1. Meanwhile, Sentinels and Cloud9 Blue will compete in the upper bracket, with two teams securing their ticket to Iceland by the end of Saturday.
