Disguised Toast’s VALORANT team recruits a rookie as fifth member for upcoming second Challengers split

Disguised Completes Roster for VALORANT NA Challengers Split 2

The popular team Disguised has finalized its starting roster for the upcoming VALORANT North America Challengers tournament. After some significant changes last week, including the departures of Damion “XXiF” Cook and Drake “Exalt” Branly, Disguised has made an impressive move by signing Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker, the top free agent in the market.

Now, the team has rounded out its five-man roster by signing Challengers rookie Michael “nerve” Yerrow, formerly of Soniqs.

Nerve’s Journey to Disguised

Although nerve didn’t reach the tier-two scene in early 2023, he came close to making his rookie debut in the Challengers league. Playing for Soniqs, the team made a strong run during the NA Split 1 Last Chance Qualifier in January. Unfortunately, they fell short in a series against OREsports and missed their chance to compete in Challengers for 2023. Shortly after, the Soniqs disbanded, and nerve found himself among the tier-three scene.

Nerve then joined a team called 99 Strength, where he achieved success by winning two Mystic Singularity Series tournaments and earning a second-place finish in the Knights Arena Monthly Gauntlet for March 2023.

As a relatively versatile player, nerve has experience playing as Killjoy, a Sentinel agent, as well as smokes and initiators. His addition to the Disguised roster fills a gap in their lineup, bringing valuable skills and flexibility. With the meta favoring Killjoy, nerve’s fit within the team makes perfect sense. He will have the opportunity to seamlessly integrate into the team, without the same performance pressure as the team’s recent signing, yay.

Nerve and yay will both make their debuts for Disguised in the upcoming NA Challengers 2023 Split 2 tournament, which begins on April 18 and runs until May 19.
