Dicey shares his viewpoint on being removed from the 100 Thieves VALORANT roster

Quan “dicey” Tran shares thoughts on being replaced on 100 Thieves VALORANT roster

During a recent Twitch livestream, Quan “dicey” Tran discussed his feelings about being replaced by former CS:GO pro Ethan Arnold on the 100 Thieves VALORANT team.

Earlier today, 100 Thieves announced that Ethan would be joining their VALORANT roster, following his departure from Evil Geniuses. This news left many fans confused about the sudden change.

In the Twitch livestream, which you can watch here, dicey expressed his understanding of the situation from a business perspective. He recognized Ethan’s years of experience and his belief that he doesn’t need guidance from older players.

“Everyone on the team has CS:GO experience and knows a lot of stuff already,” dicey said. “Since Josh and Hiko are older, they don’t have time to teach me and stuff like that.”

Dicey confirmed that he respects the decision and asked his fans not to send any hate towards anyone. He understands the choice to bring Ethan onto the team and recognizes the value he can bring.

Although dicey’s departure is a setback, he is still young and has achieved a lot in his competitive career. Fans can expect to see him on a different roster in the future.

Dicey joined 100 Thieves in October along with Asuna. Both players were young talents brought in to round out the roster. The team performed well and won the VALORANT First Strike: North America tournament.

However, the team has yet to qualify for the first VALORANT Champions Tour Masters event and time is running out for them to secure a spot.

100 Thieves will be competing in the VALORANT Champions Tour North America Stage 1: Challengers 3 main event on March 4, which is their final chance to qualify for the Masters 1 event taking place on March 13-14 and 19-21.
