Deal for VALORANT team between Rise and undisclosed buyer falls through

North American Organization Rise Nation Fails to Reach Agreement for Transfer of VALORANT Team

Negotiations between North American organization Rise Nation and another organization have come to a close without reaching an agreement for the transfer of their VALORANT team, according to multiple sources familiar with the deal. The identity of the other organization involved remains unknown, but it was revealed that tournament host Rival Room was one of the active organizations during the negotiations. Despite this, a separate group of investors attempted to proceed with the purchase of Rise’s VALORANT team but failed to meet the deadline set by Rise.

The players of Rise were informed that their salaries would be changed and sources close to the players revealed that they were “lied to” by the buyers. One Rise employee familiar with the deal expressed their disappointment, stating, “Selling dreams to all of our players telling them things that they could do in a certain time with no proof or any backing of it literally just lies. So with delay after delay and lie after lie here we are today with a dead deal and a bunch of players lost on what to do because of an organization that tried poaching from us [Rise] when they had zero funding to do so.”

As a result of the failed deal, the Rise players will likely seek new teams to join. Two of the Rise players have already reached out to other organizations. Derrek Ha, who plays as Sova, has been linked with a move to 100 Thieves, while FaZe has made plans to acquire Phat “supamen” Le, as reported by on March 23.
