Custom maps, loadouts, and weapon spawns added to Team Deathmatch in VALORANT.

Riot Games Announces New Team Deathmatch Mode for VALORANT

Riot Games has unveiled a preview of its upcoming Team Deathmatch mode for VALORANT, introducing a fresh gameplay experience that focuses on precise weapon aiming and integrating it into the revamped progression system of Episode Seven.

As per the new information released by Riot, Team Deathmatch in VALORANT will bring together teams of five on three custom maps: Piazza, District, and Kasbah. These maps are designed with no spike sites and offer more obstacles and clutter, resembling the team deathmatch maps found in games like Call of Duty.

In this mode, players will choose their loadout at the beginning of any of the four timed stages or while in the spawn room. The first stage features pistols, the second stage focuses on Ares, Stinger, or Sheriff, the third stage includes Bulldog, Guardian, Spectre, or Ares, and the final stage offers the primary rifles Vandal and Phantom. Players will retain access to their abilities, unlike in traditional solo Deathmatch.

Throughout the maps, players will find “weapon spawners” scattered around, as well as recovery orbs and ultimate orbs for healing and gaining ultimate abilities. The objective is for each team to reach 100 kills first, with respawn time set at 1.5 seconds.

Moreover, Team Deathmatch will play a significant role in the forthcoming progression system of Episode Seven. Daily missions will be revamped, new agents will be unlocked via agent recruitment events, and a new currency called Kingdom Credits can be earned and spent on unlocking agents and acquiring past battle pass accessories.

The mode is set to go live on June 27, 2023, coinciding with the launch of VALORANT Episode 7, Act I.
