Currently, only 5 VALORANT agents in Gold hold a positive win rate

The Most Successful Agents in VALORANT’s Gold Tier

VALORANT’s Gold tier is known for housing some of the most determined and difficult-to-climb players in the game. Surprisingly, only five agents in the Gold tier have positive win rates. But does choosing these agents guarantee a win? It’s not that simple.

The Agents with Positive Win Rates

According to Blitz.gg’s stats page for Episode Six, Act Three, the agents with win rates above 50 percent in the Gold Three tier are Brimstone, Phoenix, Reyna, Sage, and Killjoy. What do these agents have in common? They are independent characters.

VALORANT is a heavily team-based game, but many players queue solo, leading to communication gaps and inconsistent coordination. However, there are certain agents that can be picked to minimize the need for constant communication with the team.

The Perfect Picks for Solo Queuers

Brimstone, Phoenix, Reyna, Sage, and Killjoy are ideal choices for solo queuers who lack consistency but can lead their teams to victory on good days.

Brimstone is a strong controller agent who can provide support for an aggressive playstyle. His abilities allow him to control the battlefield and win critical rounds without relying on teammates.

Phoenix and Reyna are uncomplicated duelists who can heal themselves. They are perfect for aggressive players who like to take fights without hesitation. Their ultimates are feared by most players.

Sage and Killjoy are versatile sentinels who offer ways to defend sites and control post-plant situations.

Agents like Jett, Astra, Skye, Sova, Gekko, and Viper are not as solo-queue-friendly as the top five agents. However, picking an agent with a positive win rate doesn’t guarantee a win in VALORANT.

Coordinating and Communicating for Success

To win more VALORANT games and climb to higher ranks, it’s important to focus on coordinating and communicating with your team. Choose an agent you’re comfortable with while considering your team’s needs, instead of solely relying on the highest win rate agents.
