Controversial Player Opinions Arise over New VALORANT Oni 2.0 Skin Bundle with Unique Katana

VALORANT Players Divided Over Oni 2.0 Skin Collection

The upcoming release of the Oni 2.0 skin collection has sparked mixed reactions among VALORANT players. Many FPS gamers believe that Riot Games made the wrong choices in selecting the guns for the bundle.

On February 27, players took to Reddit to express their disappointment, while others were excited about the future release and the opportunity to wield katanas.

The discussions were ignited by the release of the “Mischief and Corruption” trailer by Riot Games, which revealed the weapons that would be featured in the upcoming Oni collection. The Ares, Vandal, Bulldog, and Frenzy were chosen, along with a new Katana.

Some VALORANT players expressed their disappointment at the absence of skins for their favorite guns. The Marshal, Sheriff, and Ghost were notably missing from the collection, which left a few players dissatisfied.

One player straightforwardly stated, “The katana is decent but holy shit the rest of the bundle is mid-AF.” Others also highlighted the absence of “high tier” Marshall skins in this bundle and others.

Another gamer expressed hope that the community’s reaction to this mid-release would discourage the frequent release of 2.0 lines.

The VALORANT developers have been releasing second batches of beloved skin bundles to cover all the weapons. The Ion 2.0 bundle, released in October 2022, garnered attention. However, if this strategy no longer proves effective, the creative team may need to come up with something new.

Hopefully, we will continue to see more VALORANT skins added to our collections. In the meantime, this writer eagerly awaits the arrival of the Oni Marshal, Sheriff, Ghost, and Operator.
