Consensus Among VALORANT Players: One Rank Stands Out as Significantly More Toxic

Toxic Players in VALORANT: Which Rank Takes the Crown?

In every multiplayer game, toxic players seem to be a common presence, and VALORANT is no exception. However, according to the game’s community, there is one specific rank that stands out as the most filled with toxic individuals.

Ascendant: The Reign of Toxicity

During a Reddit discussion on August 15th, a player asked which rank in VALORANT is the most notorious for toxic players. Many immediately pointed to Ascendant, the third highest rank in the game. They also provided valid reasons to support their claim.

Players stated that when individuals achieve a decently-skilled rank, particularly Ascendant, their egos skyrocket. As one player put it, “The higher you are, the more toxic. Think about it, in Iron/Bronze, you’re lucky to have two teammates with mics. But in Asc/Imm, some players lack game sense despite their rank and believe they’re the next TenZ.”

A Glimpse into the Discussion

However, players also highlighted that high ranks like Radiant, considered the best in the game, don’t have as many toxic players. This might be because streamers, content creators, and professional players populate these ranks, and they tend to be more relaxed. One of the top comments suggested, “They’re more chill because they’re a small refined cast of people.”

Debunking the Myth

While it’s widely believed that low ranks have the most toxic players in various multiplayer games, such as Bronze and Silver in VALORANT and League of Legends, or Silver and Gold in CS:GO, some players disagreed. They pointed out that most players in these ranks don’t even use in-game communication and are generally easy-going.

I can’t help but agree. I’ve personally been stuck in lower ranks in various games, and toxic individuals are indeed abundant. However, they tend to be less communicative in these ranks.
