Complete Patch 4.08 Notes for VALORANT

A New Update is Coming to VALORANT: Patch 4.08

VALORANT players can expect an exciting new update with the release of Patch 4.08. This patch introduces Fade, a new agent from Turkey, and includes some changes to other agents such as Jett, Neon, and Sova.

Introducing Fade: The New Initiator

Fade is an initiator agent with a unique utility kit that can provide valuable information on opponents and effectively incapacitate a bombsite full of enemies during executes or retakes. Her ultimate ability is especially promising, as it allows her to throw a wave of energies through walls, creating a trail that reveals and damages opponents for 12 seconds.

Jett’s Skill Adjustments

Jett, one of the most popular agents in VALORANT, has undergone significant changes in this update. The developers have implemented a .75 second delay after using her Tailwind skill (E), preventing her from instantly dashing. This change addresses concerns about the skill being overpowered and abused in both casual and professional gameplay.

Neon and Sova Get Tweaks

Neon has received some buffs in this patch, including an increase in battery energy received after killing an enemy and improved mobility with her High Gear ability. On the other hand, Sova has been nerfed, with reduced duration and health for the Owl Drone, fewer pings and increased delay for the Dart Reveal, and decreased damage for the Shock Dart.

Competitive Updates and Bug Fixes

5-Stack Queues

In competitive gameplay, there have been adjustments to the Rank Rating gain/loss penalty for different 5-stack configurations. The penalty is now reduced for certain combinations of ranks within a party, with more severe penalties if anyone in the party is at a higher rank.

Bug Fixes

In addition to agent adjustments, there have been bug fixes to address issues like Jett being unable to use abilities or weapons after using Tailwind, Yoru teleporting out of bounds with Gatecrash, and exploits allowing Yoru to use weapons before fully decloaking at the end of his ultimate. A bug in the Shooting Range where bots spawned without weapons has also been fixed.

Stay tuned for more updates and improvements in future patches of VALORANT!
