Complete Order of VALORANT Agent Releases

The list of playable VALORANT characters has been steadily growing since the game’s release in 2020. Riot Games has been consistent in releasing new content, including skins, maps, and agents.

Here is a list of all 23 VALORANT agents in the order they were released:

**1 to 10) Original VALORANT roster**

These are the 10 agents who were available in the VALORANT closed beta when it was released in April 2020. Raze was the last agent to be added prior to the beta, making her debut there.

While some of these early agents may seem basic compared to the newer additions, they played a crucial role in introducing new players to the game’s different roles and forming strategic team compositions.

**Brimstone**

Brimstone is an American controller agent and the leader of VALORANT. He serves as the commander of all the other VALORANT agents.

**Viper**

Viper, another American agent, is a less-traditional controller. She specializes in researching poisonous gas and uses it in battle.

**Omen**

Omen is a mysterious figure who comes from an unknown place. He has the ability to lurk in the shadows, use dark smokes, and teleport around the map.

**Cypher**

Cypher is an agent from Morocco who plays the role of a sentinel by watching all areas of the map with his equipment.

**Sova**

Sova is a Russian hunter equipped with a bow and arrow. He is known for his ability to gather information with his recon dart.

**Sage**

Sage is the quintessential healer in the game. She can even resurrect fallen agents. She uses Radianite to create slow fields and walls. She is originally from China and serves as the second in command to Brimstone.

**Phoenix**

Phoenix is a confident agent from London who uses fire as his primary ability to blind and damage enemies.

**Jett**

Jett is a fast agent from South Korea who excels at surprising her enemies with her speed and mobility.

**Raze**

Raze is a chaos-causing agent from Brazil who specializes in dealing damage with various homemade weapons and tools.

**Breach**

Breach is a Swedish man who lost both of his arms and now uses mechanical ones to flash and stun his enemies.

The original 10 agents provided a solid foundation for the game to grow and expand upon. Many of these agents have received subtle changes to their kits as the game has evolved through various patches.

**11) Reyna**

Reyna was released with the official version 1.0 of VALORANT in June 2020. She rewards players directly for their kills and gun skills since she can only use her abilities after getting kills. She remains a popular pick among players with confidence and good aim.

**12) Killjoy**

Killjoy, a German scientist, was added in August 2020. She was the first agent to debut after the game’s full release. Her addition brought unique utility to the game with her turret ability.

**13) Skye**

Skye, introduced in October 2020, is another initiator agent focused on utility and assisting teammates. She is the second agent in the game who can heal other agents on her team.

**14) Yoru**

Yoru, released in January 2021, initially had a kit that was not strong in gameplay. However, after receiving a major rework, he became a much more effective and stealthy duelist.

**15) Astra**

Astra, a Ghanaian agent, made her debut in March 2021. She requires a “galaxy brain” to fully utilize her unique system of placing smokes with stars. Once mastered, she became one of the strongest agents in the game.

**16) KAY/O**

KAY/O, the first robot agent, was released in June 2021. He marked the fourth initiator addition to the roster and has abilities that suppress enemy agents’ unique abilities.

**17) Chamber**

Chamber, a dapper man from France, joined the game in November 2021. He is a sentinel who can hold angles and watch flanks, but is often played with an aggressive style.

**18) Neon**

Neon, a lightning-fast agent from Manila, was the first agent to be released in 2022. She can rival Jett’s speed and has electricity-themed abilities.

**19) Fade**

Fade, introduced in April 2022, is the first Turkish agent. She is an initiator focused on gathering information and blinding enemies.

**20) Harbor**

Harbor, released in October 2022, is the first Indian agent. He has water-themed abilities that provide zoning power and can create barriers to protect allies.

**21) Gekko**

Gekko, a bright green-haired initiator from L.A, arrived in March 2023. He is a versatile agent with plenty of tricks up his sleeves, fitting into almost any composition.

**22) Deadlock**

Deadlock, a tough sentinel from Norway, joined the game in June 2023. She has nanowire utility that detects enemies and immobilizes them, making her a formidable opponent.

**23) Iso**

Iso, a lethal Chinese hitman, was released in October 2023. She can transmute radianite energy into shields and has a variety of powerful abilities.

The next VALORANT agent and their release date have yet to be announced.
