Community agrees one VALORANT agent is perfect for new players

Why Phoenix is the Best Agent for Beginners in VALORANT

The VALORANT Champions tournament has generated a lot of excitement within the gaming community. It features professional players from around the world, and for many casual players, this is the perfect opportunity to start playing VALORANT. However, the wide variety of agents in the game can be confusing for beginners who are still trying to understand what VALORANT is all about. Luckily, the community has reached a consensus on Reddit that Phoenix is the best agent for new players, and I couldn’t agree more.

Phoenix is considered a beginner-friendly agent because his abilities are straightforward and easy to understand. He has four abilities:

  • Blaze (C): Creates a flame wall that blocks vision and damages anyone who tries to pass through it.
  • Curveball (Q): Throws an orb that blinds any player who sees it for 1.5 seconds.
  • Hot Hands (E): Throws a fireball that explodes and damages enemies. Standing in the fire zone heals Phoenix.
  • Run It Back (X): Phoenix’s ultimate ability that places a marker at his location. If he dies during its duration or when it expires, he is reborn at the marked location with full health and armor.

These abilities allow new players to make impactful plays, block angles, blind enemies, and even come back to life with full health in clutch situations. As someone who started playing VALORANT in 2020, I personally found Phoenix to be the perfect agent for beginners.

However, it’s important to remember that every player has their own playstyle and preferences. If Phoenix doesn’t work out for you, that’s completely okay. The most important thing is to have fun while playing VALORANT and choose an agent that suits your style. Don’t stress too much as a casual player, especially when you’re still learning the game.
