Cloud9 White and G2 Gozen may face off on the opening day of the VCT Game Changers Championship

The Clash of Dominance: C9 White vs G2 Gozen in VALORANT Game Changers Championship

The highly-anticipated match between two historically dominant women’s VALORANT teams might happen on the first day of the VCT Game Changers Championship on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

The format and bracket for the Game Changers Championship have been revealed, placing Cloud9 White and G2 Gozen on the same side of the upper bracket. If both teams win their opening matches, they will face off at the end of the tournament’s opening day.

These two teams have dominated the Game Changers VALORANT scenes in North America and EMEA, respectively. C9 White has won all six Game Changers tournaments in NA across 2021 and 2022, with only one loss to Shopify Rebellion back in July (excluding the controversial forfeit loss to Immortals in the same tournament’s qualifier).

G2 Gozen has also showcased dominance in EMEA, winning three consecutive Game Changers tournaments from November of the previous year until May of this year. However, Guild X managed to break their streak in this year’s EMEA series, winning from a 2-1 deficit in the grand final and claiming the top EMEA seed at the Game Changers Championship.

Due to their loss to Guild X and the resulting seeding ramifications, G2 Gozen is likely to face C9 White early in the tournament. This meeting between two of the most dominant teams in Game Changers has been highly anticipated by fans and players alike. It promises to be an exciting conclusion to day one of the Championship.
