Cloud9 welcomes Relyks to VALORANT lineup

Cloud9 Signs Former CS:GO Pro Relyks for VALORANT Roster

Cloud9 has announced the signing of former CS:GO professional player Skyler “Relyks” Weaver to their VALORANT roster. Relyks joins Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, who joined the C9 VALORANT team on April 12.

Relyks has mainly played for tier-two teams throughout his CS:GO career, including Selfless Gaming, eUnited, Misfits Gaming, and TSM. His most recent team was Swole Identity, an unsponsored team, where he played in several qualifying events and an ESEA season.

Earlier this year, Relyks joined Team Singularity but the team struggled to achieve notable results. Their best finish was in the top eight of the ESL Pro League Season 10. However, with Relyks on the team, they failed to qualify for DreamHack Open Anaheim and Leipzig, as well as Flashpoint season one.

Since April, Relyks has been focusing on VALORANT, playing alongside TenZ. Recently, they teamed up with three other former CS players to represent Cloud9 in the $10,000 Immortals First Light tournament, where they finished second after losing to TSM in the finals.

Relyks and Cloud9 will be competing against 15 other teams in the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown, the first North American installment of the VALORANT IGNITION series. The tournament, which features a $50,000 prize pool, will kick off on June 26.
