Cloud9 implements an early roster change for VALORANT for the second consecutive year

In a surprising move, Cloud9 has decided to part ways with Maxim “wippie” Shepelev early into the VCT Americas 2024 season. Wippie, who had joined the team just six months ago, has been released after playing only three regular season matches.

Wippie Plans to Return to Competitive Play After Cloud9 Departure

Following his departure from Cloud9, Wippie took to Twitter to express his disappointment with his time on the team. He mentioned that things did not go as expected but assured fans that he plans to make a comeback to competitive play as soon as possible, regardless of the region or skill level.

Cloud9’s performance with Wippie has been mixed. During the Red Bull Double agent event and the VCT Americas Kickoff, they managed to secure victories in 13 out of 30 maps played. However, their performance in the Kickoff itself was lackluster, with the team winning only two out of seven matches played.
