Cloud9 Blue’s Relyks achieves impressive ace in VALORANT First Strike qualifier’s first-map win against TSM

Cloud9 Blue’s Relyks secures clutch ace against TSM in VALORANT First Strike Qualifier semifinals

In the VALORANT First Strike qualifier semifinals, Cloud9 Blue’s Skyler “Relyks” Weaver pulled off an impressive clutch ace against TSM, helping his team secure their first win of the series.

The eighth-round five K that Relyks achieved was crucial for Cloud9 Blue to win an important round while attacking, especially on a defense-friendly map like Ascent.

Watch the clutch ace here:

In the round, Cloud9 Blue quickly stormed Ascent’s A site, rushing to plant the spike in a favorable four-vs-three scenario. However, TSM’s Matthew “WARDELL” Yu took out Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, equalizing the score.

TSM then made an aggressive play to retake the site, quickly eliminating all of Relyks’ teammates. Relyks managed to land a quick headshot for his third kill, but still had two more players to defeat.

With the spike set to detonate soon, TSM attempted to have one player defuse while the other provided cover. However, Relyks anticipated their plan and peeked out from the back of the Boat House, taking down Taylor “drone” Johnson with a headshot, then WARDELL, securing the round win.

Relyks finished the match with 20 kills, second only to TenZ’s 23. Cloud9 Blue emerged victorious in Ascent with a score of 13-6 and are now one win away from reaching the grand finals. However, TSM still has a chance to make a comeback with two consecutive victories.
