Cloud9 assembles a formidable VALORANT superteam, including top-tier player Zellsis

Cloud9 to Sign Former Sentinels and Version1 Player Zellsis

According to sources, North American organization Cloud9 is set to sign former Sentinels and Version1 player Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro. The negotiations for the deal are expected to be finalized soon.

The Addition of Zellsis and Yay Ushering in a New Superteam

Zellsis, known for being one of the best initiators in the region, will join C9 alongside Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker, who is considered the best VALORANT player in the world. Yay’s deal is also in its final stages. The addition of these two superstars will create a formidable superteam.

Zellsis and Vanity’s Reunion on C9

C9’s in-game leader, Anthony “vanity” Malaspina, previously competed with Zellsis on Version1. The duo had qualified for the VCT Stage Two Masters in Reykjavík, Iceland, where Version1 finished in the top six. Vanity later transferred to C9, and now Zellsis will join him on the team.

Upcoming Competition for C9 in the Americas League

C9 is set to compete in the Americas league alongside other prominent esports brands. Zellsis will even face off against his former team Sentinels in the league. The first matchups in the international leagues are scheduled to begin with a kick-off tournament in February next year.

The kick-off tournament, which will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, will feature all 30 partnered teams from the three major regions.
