CLG aims to expand into male VALORANT scene and seeks partnership – Sources

CLG to Enter VALORANT Following Application to Compete in Partnered League

North American organization CLG will be making its way into the world of VALORANT in the coming months. According to multiple sources, CLG has recently applied to compete in the partnered VALORANT league next year. This move comes as no surprise, as CLG has a deep-rooted connection with Riot Games, the developer of VALORANT. The organization has a long-standing history with Riot Games from its time in the LCS, the franchised North American League of Legends league. With over a decade of competition under its belt, CLG is one of the oldest organizations in the industry.

CLG has already made strides in VALORANT, fielding a promising Game Changers roster. This roster is likely to be a key factor in CLG’s partnership application, showcasing the organization’s dedication and potential in the VALORANT scene. However, the road to success won’t be easy. CLG will face tough competition from other top organizations vying for a spot in the partnered league.

Like many other prominent North American organizations, CLG has submitted its application for a partnership with Riot for VALORANT. If accepted, CLG will join other accepted organizations in the partnered league. This league, scheduled to kick off next year, will feature teams not only from North America but also from Brazil and Latin America.

The high viewership potential of the North American league is attracting interest from organizations worldwide. An example of this is G2, a European-based organization that has applied for franchising in North America. This move was first reported by journalist neL and later confirmed by sources close to . G2 has also applied for the European league as a backup option.

Teams will receive confirmation about their acceptance into their respective partnered leagues around September, just before the start date of the highly anticipated VALORANT Champions event.
