Check out the latest updates and notes for VALORANT Patch 1.09!

Riot Games finally listened to the community and nerfed the OP weapon in the latest VALORANT patch, potentially ending its dominance. Along with this, they also made adjustments to several agents.

Jett’s Blade Storm ability has received a nerf. The time between consecutive uses has been increased, and the daggers now have a damage falloff. The headshot multiplier has also been reduced.

Reyna’s Empress ability has been toned down as well, with the fire rate bonus decreased.

Viper has seen some buffs, starting the round with more fuel and applying a lingering debuff with her Snake Bite ability. She also moves faster while casting her ultimate ability, reducing weapon downtime.

Brimstone’s Stim Beacon ability has received a buff, increasing the fire rate bonus.

Omen’s Paranoia ability has been adjusted to better represent its hitbox visually.

In terms of weapons, the Operator’s price has been increased, and its scoped movement speed has been decreased. The firing rate and equip time have also been adjusted, and the leg shot damage has been decreased.

There have also been updates to competitive matchmaking, aiming to reduce long queue times.

Social updates include automatic review of inappropriate Riot IDs, immediate effect of party push-to-talk settings changes, and the ability to pin the chat window open.

Bug fixes include correcting Sova’s hitbox while using his Owl Drone, removing Omen’s glowing eyes when canceling his ult, and preventing Custom Game preferences from being wiped.

This patch aims to address community concerns and improve the gameplay experience. Whether these changes will have the desired impact remains to be seen.
