Bug in Raze’s Ultimate Strikes Again, Costing Kyedae a Crucial Round of VALORANT on Stream

Kyedae Loses Round Due to Glitched Raze Ultimate Ability in VALORANT

Streamer Kyedae Alicia Shymko, also known as Kyedae, had a devastating moment during her recent VALORANT broadcast. Her Raze ultimate ability glitched out, causing her death and resulting in her team losing the round.

The Glitch that Cost Kyedae the Round

In a clip captured from the stream by Twitch user chunny0, Kyedae managed to kill the enemy team’s Skye before engaging in a fight with their Omen using her ult. However, the Showstopper did not cause any damage to the Omen, leaving him unharmed. This glitch allowed the enemy Omen to eliminate Kyedae and secure the round victory. Unfortunately, her team went on to lose the game.

A Persistent Bug

Regrettably, this bug is not a new occurrence and has proven difficult to fully fix, despite assurances from the game’s developers. Even as recently as August of last year, VALORANT players were facing similar issues with Raze’s ultimate ability dealing no damage during matches.

Hope for a Solution

VALORANT tech lead Marcus Reid explained that this bug stems from the game’s approximation of explosions, as VALORANT does not simulate real-world physics. Kyedae and other Raze players are hopeful that the next game patch will address this issue, so they can avoid experiencing useless ultimates.
