BLAST to Present Another Spike Nations Valorant Event: Riot-Funded Charity Prize Pool Reaches 60,000 Euros

BLAST to Host VALORANT Spike Nations Tournament in Europe

In an exciting development, BLAST will be hosting the second edition of the BLAST Spike Nations tournament, marking its first European VALORANT event since the start of the VALORANT Champions Tour.

The tournament is set to take place from Oct. 7 to 9 and will showcase 12 top EMEA-based teams, comprised of the best professional players from each country or nation. These teams will be divided into three groups of four, with the top two squads from each group advancing to the knockout playoff stage. The participating countries and nations include the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Nordics, Poland, Turkey, CIS, Italy, DACH, Benelux, and Eastern Europe.

A BLAST press release states that the tournament aims to raise funds and provide added incentives for teams to excel, thereby increasing the stakes. Fans can catch all the action exclusively on the BLAST TV Twitch channel.

The first Spike Nations event was held in November 2020, where Team Portugal emerged as the victors against Team U.K. Notable VALORANT personalities, including caster, analyst, and G2 streamer Lothar, and Team Liquid’s AverageJonas, also participated. BLAST has played a crucial role in the European VALORANT scene, having hosted the qualifier and main event of the EU First Strike tournament in November and December.
