Benjyfishy ascends VALORANT ranks, earns spot on elite LCQ roster

Fortnite Star Benjyfishy Joins Team Heretics to Pursue Valorant Career

After leaving Fortnite to pursue a career in Valorant, Benjy “benjyfishy” Fish has officially joined Team Heretics. The signing was confirmed today, just a week before the start of the EMEA LCQ. This move comes after benjyfishy and Heretics agreed on a deal back in June. He will be filling the spot left by former Valorant champion Aleksander “zeek” Zygmunt, who departed from the team.

In June 2022, benjyfishy announced his departure from competitive Fortnite, citing a loss of love for the game and a lack of desire to continue playing. Despite his young age of just 18, he was already known as one of the best and most popular players in the game. He decided to shift his focus to competitive Valorant instead.

After trying out with various teams, benjyfishy eventually signed with Enterprise Esports in late 2022. He competed in the 2023 VCL East: Surge Challengers league, primarily playing the Killjoy role. Although Enterprise had a successful season, finishing second in total points earned, they were unable to secure the top spot due to losses against powerhouse team Acend. Enterprise qualified for the EMEA Ascension but benjyfishy was unable to compete with them as he had already committed to Team Heretics.

With benjyfishy joining, Team Heretics now has a complete roster featuring some of the biggest names in the EMEA region: mixwell, keloqz, AvovA, Boo, and benjyfishy. Their debut with their new teammate is scheduled for July 19 at 10am CT in a crucial match against KOI at the EMEA LCQ.
