Beastcoast terminates all VALORANT contracts and reportedly plans to depart the game

Beastcoast to Withdraw from VALORANT Scene, Releases Players

Beastcoast has made the decision to release all of its VALORANT players and coaches. According to the team’s former coach, the organization will be pulling out of the scene completely.

Active players Yannick “KOLER” Blanchette, Jamal “jammyz” Bangash, and Chad “Oderus” Miller have all announced their releases on Twitter. Former coach Daniel “fRoD” Montaner, who previously coached T1, also confirmed his release and revealed that beastcoast is stepping away from the game. Brandon Michael “bdog” Sanders was moved to the inactive roster just before the second stage of the VALORANT Champions Tour, but has not announced his release yet. As of now, there has been no official statement from the organization.

Beastcoast entered the VALORANT scene in August 2020 but did not achieve notable results in First Strike or the VALORANT Champions Tour. Previous versions of the roster included Hayden “Elevate” Krueger, a former 100 Thieves Fortnite player, and Diondre “YaBoiDre” Bond, who later found success with Luminosity.

In addition to VALORANT, Beastcoast competes in Dota 2 and Rainbow Six Siege. The organization has also signed players in various fighting game titles such as Smash, Marvel vs Capcom, and Mortal Kombat. Beastcoast’s South American Dota 2 roster, known as Infamous, achieved a top-eight finish at The International 2019.

All the former beastcoast players are now free agents and are expected to receive offers to compete in the third stage of the VCT. Beastcoast joins Dignitas on the short list of organizations that have withdrawn from VALORANT already.
