BabyJ signs with FaZe Clan’s VALORANT roster.

FaZe VALORANT Completes Roster with Former Halo Pro Hunter “BabyJ” Schline

FaZe VALORANT has finalized its roster for the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour North America Stage Three Challengers One open qualifier. Hunter “BabyJ” Schline, a former Halo professional, has joined the team to replace Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen, who has moved to Team Envy on loan. BabyJ joins FaZe’s other member, Andrej “babybay” Francisty.

FaZe had a strong performance in VCT Stage One, reaching the grand finals against Sentinels but ultimately losing 3-0. However, their success did not continue in Stage Two, as they failed to qualify for the Challengers Finals.

In preparation for Stage Three, the team decided to bench Marved and conducted trials with several players, including BabyJ. BabyJ has previously played on multiple unsigned rosters and recently defeated 100 Thieves in the Stage Two Challengers One open qualifier with the Rice and Meatballs roster. He is experienced as a Sentinel and Controller, making him a perfect fit to fill the spot left by Marved.

FaZe now has another opportunity to qualify for a significant event and secure a spot in Masters Three Berlin. Their explosive playstyle can pose a threat to even the strongest rosters, and the addition of BabyJ might be the change needed for success.

FaZe Clan’s first match in the VCT Stage Three Challengers One open qualifier is against MeowMeow on July 1.
