Award Winners and Best Player Picks at VCT Masters Copenhagen

MVP: FPX’s Shao

Andrey “Shao” Kiprsky from FunPlus Phoenix proved to be the most valuable player of VCT Masters Copenhagen. While his teammate Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks performed exceptionally well in the group stage, Shao consistently provided immense value to FPX throughout the entire tournament. Shao ranked third in kill-assist-trade-survive percentage (KAST) across the entire event and first during the playoffs. He also excelled in clutch situations and had an impressive K/D ratio. Shao’s impact was especially felt in FPX’s final two victories against OpTic and Paper Rex.

Clutch gods: KRÜ’s keznit and Paper Rex’s mindfreak

KRÜ’s Angelo “keznit” Mori and Paper Rex’s Aaron “mindfreak” Leonhart stood out in clutch situations. Both players had a 35% clutch rating during Masters Copenhagen, with mindfreak achieving this success exclusively in the playoffs. Mindfreak’s standout moment came during Paper Rex’s win over Fnatic, where he won half of his clutches.

Best frag finders: Guild’s Sayf and XSET’s Cryocells

When it came to securing kills, Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel from Guild and Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiban from XSET were the standout players. Cryocells and Sayf ranked first and second in the overall K/D rating and were among the top three in average combat score (ACS). Sayf also had an impressive clutch rating of 21%, while Cryocells excelled in first-blood duels.

– Biggest disappointment: LOUD’s Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi – Sacy’s performance in Copenhagen fell short of expectations, considering his exceptional performance in Brazil. He had a poor showing in the tournament, contributing to LOUD’s overall disappointment.
– Least clutch: Northeption’s Kohei “BlackWiz” Mikami – Despite his big stage experience in Japan, BlackWiz struggled in clutch situations, losing all 19 of his clutch attempts.
– No entry: XSET’s Rory “dephh” Jackson – Dephh had a tough time in opening duels, losing 20 out of his 27 first encounters and achieving a 26% first-blood success rate.
