VALORANT Adds Alpha Threat Comic Book Cover Player Card
VALORANT has introduced a new player card inspired by comic books, following the success of its initial release.
To mark the release of Episode Five, VALORANT unveiled a cinematic featuring Reyna, Killjoy, and Neon walking through a comic book store. This store is a real location on the latest map addition, Pearl.
Within the comic book store, players discovered teaser images showcasing various VALORANT agents in a DC Universe style. These comics were made available to the public in the form of player cards and posters, which fans could purchase.
During the limited time the Episode Five battle pass was available, players could obtain four player cards: Shadow Walker, War Dogs, Legion, and Friendly Fire. However, a comic cover titled Alpha Threat, featuring Phoenix, Yoru, and Skye, was missing. While the other comic covers were available for purchase as posters from the Riot Games merchandise store, Alpha Threat was not available in-game.
VALORANT has now addressed this issue by adding the Alpha Threat cover as a player card, completing the comic book collection. Players can simply log into their accounts to obtain the card, without the need to unlock it. The other comic cover cards are still obtainable for a limited time but require players to level up the mini battle pass to acquire them.
