All the Abilities of KAY/O, the New Robotic Agent in VALORANT

KAY/O: A New Agent in VALORANT Episode Three: Reflection

VALORANT players who are looking to return to their tactical shooter roots will be excited about the introduction of KAY/O. This new killer robot is being introduced in VALORANT’s Episode Three: Reflection, starting on June 22. The update brings a suppression feature that disables players’ abilities, as well as a revive mechanic commonly seen in battle royale games. With a focus on gunplay rather than abilities, KAY/O is sure to put your aim to the test.

KAY/O’s Abilities

KAY/O has several powerful abilities that players can utilize:

E – ZERO/point

KAY/O equips a suppression blade that sticks to the first surface it hits. It then explodes, suppressing anyone caught in the radius and rendering their abilities useless.

Q – FLASH/drive

KAY/O equips a flash grenade that blinds enemies in its line of sight when thrown. Right-clicking the grenade causes it to explode after one second, while left-clicking cooks the flash for 1.6 seconds longer.

C – FRAG/ment

KAY/O equips an explosive fragment that sticks to the floor upon impact. The fragment explodes multiple times, dealing significant damage at the center with each explosion.

Ultimate – NULL/cmd

KAY/O instantly overloads with polarized radianite energy, empowering him and causing large energy pulses to emit from his location. Enemies hit by the pulses are suppressed for a short duration.

KAY/O also gains a combat stim while overloaded. If the robot is killed during this state, he enters a destabilized state that allows allies to revive him by stabilizing his core.

The introduction of KAY/O brings new mechanics to the game that are sure to create unique strategies. Suppression levels the playing field, giving sentinels as much impact as duelists when caught in KAY/O’s abilities. Additionally, teams fighting over KAY/O’s downed body will likely create similar interactions to Sage’s resurrection, with allies protecting their teammate while enemies try to take advantage.

VALORANT players can look forward to KAY/O’s debut in Episode Three: Reflection, just five days away. It’s recommended to spend time in the training range to prepare for the new agent.
