The latest update for VALORANT, Patch 5.07, brings significant changes to the competitive gameplay. Duelists and initiators’ blinding abilities have been adjusted to make initiators more team-oriented and duelists more self-sufficient. But the most notable changes are seen in Fracture, the game’s unique map. Patch 5.07 has revamped key areas of the map, particularly the A site.

A Dish is simplified to one path
Previously, there were two paths around Dish to access the A site. However, in Patch 5.07, one of the paths has been removed. This change was made to make navigation easier and more manageable for both attackers and defenders. Simplifying the approach should encourage more usage of this area.
A Drop is easier to access, especially on attack
Before the update, attacking players had to drop into the A site, which made them vulnerable to defenders from multiple angles. The new changes have made it easier for attackers to access the site without exposing themselves to such risks. They can now hold angles without the fear of being peeked from various positions. The jump up from Drop remains unchanged.
A Rope makes more space for defenders
The developers noted that the path from A Rope to the site was too easily controlled by attackers using smoke. To address this, an extended balcony has been added, giving defenders more options for retaking the A site through Rope.
A Halls, A Site, Arcade, B Site, B Generator, and Defender Spawn
Several other areas of the Fracture map have also undergone changes. A Dish, A Drop, A Rope, A Halls, A Site, Arcade, B Site, B Generator, and Defender Spawn have all been revamped to improve gameplay and provide a better overall experience for players.
