Riot Games Teases New VALORANT Agent During VCT Champions Finals
Riot Games unveiled a teaser for the next VALORANT agent during the VCT Champions Finals opening ceremony today. The teaser features a silhouette made of coded strings of numbers and letters, accompanied by a woman’s voice speaking in Filipino and English about her powers.
Prior to the teaser’s release, Riot dropped hints about the agent’s origin. For instance, in the latest Night Market in the client, VALORANT players can see star-shaped lanterns resembling parols, traditional Filipino lanterns displayed during the holidays.
Based on the current information, agent 19 is likely to be a radiant. The previous radiant agent, Astra, was released in early 2021. The new agent’s powers appear to be related to electricity, as mentioned in the teaser. She specifically refers to “lightning” and warns opponents to “get ready” because she “goes fast,” implying her kit includes a speed-related ability.
While fans await more information about the new agent, they can enjoy a fun mode coming to VALORANT in the next few weeks, where the game mode will be decided by popular vote. Additionally, news about Patch 4.0 can be expected next month, possibly coinciding with the new agent’s arrival.
