New VALORANT Agent, Gekko, Rising in Popularity
The newest agent in VALORANT, Gekko, is making a splash in ranked play with his unique abilities.
Since being added to the game, Gekko has quickly gained traction among players. In fact, he currently has a higher win rate than three other agents in VALORANT.
According to data from dak.gg, Gekko’s win rate sits at an impressive 48 percent. This is especially noteworthy considering that win rates tend to increase as players become more familiar with a new agent.
Among the other dualists, Neon and Yoru, Gekko outperforms them in terms of win rate. Meanwhile, KAY/O currently has the lowest win rate at the time of this article’s publication, with only a 47.0 percent win rate.

Furthermore, Gekko has a higher average combat score (ACS) compared to other agents, including some in the same class. With an ACS of 196, Gekko surpasses the likes of Viper, Fade, Cypher, Skye, Harbor, and Sage.
This strong performance could be attributed to the simplicity of Gekko’s kit. His abilities, such as the wide-radius grenade called Mosh Pit, the versatile Wingman, and the blinding Dizzy, offer him an edge in combat.
Gekko’s play rate is expected to increase, and his win rate may fluctuate as players become more comfortable with his abilities.
