A serious bug in VALORANT is handing out permanent suspensions to players

VALORANT Bug Extends Ban Timers Indefinitely

A quirky bug in the latest Patch 6.10 of VALORANT is causing ban timers to display negative values, resulting in an infinitely long timer. This unexpected glitch has left affected players both amused and frustrated.

On May 26, a VALORANT player shared their confusing experience on Reddit, where the ban timer on their account started displaying negative values. This post attracted hilarious reactions from fellow players.

In response, DeathfireGrasponYT humorously replied, “You will be able to play yesterday,” while Blazerpl pointed out the positive aspect of the situation, saying, “The game did something good for you.”

Many members of the community advised the affected player to embrace their newfound “freedom” and explore activities outside of VALORANT since they were seemingly permanently banned from the game.

One player even joked that this bug might be a clever hint about VALORANT’s next agent, possibly capable of manipulating time. A time-traveling character in a tactical shooter would indeed be unusual.

While only a few players have encountered this bug, even isolated incidents of extended ban timers are unacceptable as they prevent players from queuing.

Some players suspect that the recent update, released on May 23, is the cause of this infinite ban glitch. Others suggest that leaving the game open until the ban timer runs out triggers the bug.

Fortunately, there are simple workarounds to resolve the issue. Restarting VALORANT should fix the problem, but if not, logging out and logging back into your Riot account will likely allow you to queue again.

Alternatively, a user suggested another method to fix the bug without closing the game: enter the Practice Range or start a custom match, then exit the match.

Although it may be satisfying to see cheaters and abusers receive permanent bans, this glitch could potentially affect anyone, even those who simply dodged a queue to avoid toxic or disruptive players.

The recently deployed Patch 6.10 of VALORANT has caused more annoyance than satisfaction, with players expressing disappointment over the “improved” agent portraits and blurred agent icons. Additionally, performance hiccups and various bugs continue to persist.
