A Guide to Playing Fracture in VALORANT: Map Layout, Communication Points, and Strategies

Fracture: A Comprehensive Guide to VALORANT’s Latest Map

Fracture has been added to VALORANT’s map rotation, but with its unique layout and confusing callouts, navigating this map can be a challenge. In this guide, we’ll provide you with basic strategies and callouts for both attacking and defending on Fracture.

Fracture Layout and Essential Callouts

To begin, here is a helpful in-game map of Fracture with all the important callouts marked.

Fracture Map

Attacking A Site: Tips and Strategies

When attacking A site, it’s often more advantageous to enter from A Main rather than A Drop. The pillar outside of A provides some cover from defenders in spawn, whereas A Drop can lead you into a chokepoint with minimal coverage. Attackers have the flexibility to play underneath the structure within the grey lines or even plant on top. However, keep in mind that the metal and orange boxes on top can be shot through and don’t offer great cover for either attackers or defenders.

A Site Layout

When defending A site, it’s recommended to use smoke to block off A Main and A Drop if possible. This forces attackers to push through the smoke, giving defenders an advantage. As a defender, you can hide on top behind the metal cover and wait for attackers to begin planting before striking. Another effective hiding spot is behind the pillar, providing cover from A Main and the ability to hold A Drop against potential attackers.

Attacking B Site: Tips and Strategies

B Site on Fracture follows a more traditional Spike site style but offers plenty of hiding spots for both defenders and attackers. When attacking B site, entering from Arcade or B Main is equally effective. However, defenders can gain a height advantage by watching from Tower, which overlooks both entry points. A strategic place to plant the Spike is next to the green box on B Site, allowing attackers to defend from either B Main or Tower.

B Site Layout

As the defending team, it’s crucial to have one player positioned in Tower to watch over Arcade, while another player holds Canteen or stays on the B Site to anticipate players entering from B Main. Defenders can hide behind any of the boxes on the site and wait for the perfect moment to surprise their opponents. Note that the green parts of the boxes can be shot through, enabling defenders to attack those hiding behind them from their own cover.

Remember these strategies and callouts to enhance your gameplay on Fracture and secure more victories in VALORANT!
