100 Thieves VALORANT Parts Ways with babyJ and ec1s After Only 2 Matches, Welcomes bang and jcStani on Loan

100 Thieves Releases BabyJ and ec1s from VALORANT Roster

After a disappointing start to the 2022 VALORANT Champions Tour, 100 Thieves has made the decision to release Hunter “BabyJ” Schline and Adam “ec1s” Eccles from its VALORANT roster, as announced by the organization on Twitter.

The duo, BabyJ and ec1s, joined the 100T roster less than 40 days ago. Unfortunately, they only had the opportunity to play in two official matches during the NA VCT Challengers One main event. Regrettably, both matches resulted in losses, with the team falling to Cloud9 and The Guard, the latter of which ended in a devastating 13-0 shutout on Ascent. After this disappointing performance, 100T’s founder Nadeshot expressed his dissatisfaction on Twitter, stating that the team’s performance was “unacceptable.”

New Additions to the Roster

For their upcoming matches in NA VCT, 100T will be playing with Sean “bang” Bezerra and Noah “jcStani” Smith, who have been signed on loan from TSM and Pioneers, respectively.

Bang has shown strong performances during his time with TSM, while jcStani has taken on the IGL role for a talented Pioneers squad that came close to qualifying for the VCT event. However, it seems that Ethan will be taking over the IGL role for the immediate future of 100T.

Ethan Takes on the IGL Role

Ethan expressed his excitement about his new role on Twitter, stating, “IGL’ing for @100T_Esports now. Excited to work with the boys.”

Originally, BabyJ and ec1s joined the team to fill the roles left vacant by Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella and Joshua “steel” Nissan. Nitr0 mutually agreed to part ways with 100T to return to CS:GO and Team Liquid, while steel was benched before their NA LCQ run and eventually released by the organization. 100T did not compete in any official events from the end of LCQ in late October until the first week of NA VCT 2022 action on Feb. 11.

The next scheduled match for 100T is against Luminosity Gaming on Sunday, Feb. 27.
