100 Thieves to Sign Former XSET Superstar in Valorant Offseason

100 Thieves to Sign VALORANT Player Cryo from XSET

North American organization 100 Thieves is planning to add VALORANT player Matthew “Cryo” Panganiban to their roster, according to multiple sources. This move marks the first signing for the organization during the current offseason transfer period.

Cryo, known for his exceptional performance since joining XSET, is considered one of the top players in the region. Alongside OpTic superstar yay, Cryo is recognized as one of the best Chamber players in North America.

At the moment, it remains unclear which player will be replaced by Cryo on the 100T roster. As per the league rules for the upcoming season, 100 Thieves and other teams are required to have a roster of six players with a maximum limit of 10.

Prior to this signing, 100 Thieves had shown interest in Cryo over seven months ago when they were acquiring former in-game leader Adam “ec1s” Eccles. However, Cryo was under contract with SoaR at the time and later joined XSET.

After going through several roster changes throughout the year, 100 Thieves recently achieved a top-12 finish in VALORANT Champions 2022. Unfortunately, they were defeated by DRX and Fnatic, leading to their elimination from the tournament.

In the upcoming season, 100 Thieves will be competing in the Americas international league, alongside teams like Evil Geniuses, Cloud9, LOUD, FURIA, MIBR, Sentinels, NRG, KRU Esports, and Leviatan. The international leagues will commence with a tournament in February, featuring all 30 partnered teams from the Asia, Americas, and EMEA regions.

The tournament will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, and will span over three weeks.
