100 Thieves secures playoff spot in VCT Challengers 2 with dominant victory over NRG

100 Thieves Secure Spot in VCT Challengers Two Playoffs with Decisive 2-0 Win Against NRG Esports

100 Thieves have secured their spot in the upcoming VCT Challengers Two playoffs with an impressive 2-0 victory against NRG Esports. This win puts them on equal footing with Ghost Gaming and XSET in Group A, with a 3-1 record.

Since the formation of their latest roster, 100 Thieves have been on an impressive run in the VALORANT Champions Tour. Their only defeats have come at the hands of TSM, while they have dominated against other teams. This same high-level performance was evident in their match against NRG, a team that recently signed their former in-game leader Ethan Arnold. 100 Thieves showed their growth as a team and exuded confidence in their victory over their former teammate.

The series started with NRG’s map pick of Icebox. Despite a tied round count of 6-6 at halftime, 100 Thieves pulled ahead and secured multiple rounds to finish with a 13-9 win. Standout player Sean “bang” Bezerra, who wasn’t physically present with the team at their boot camp in Texas, delivered an outstanding performance on Viper. He ended the map with a 1.4 KD, recording 21 kills and only 15 deaths.

The second map of the series was Bind, chosen by 100 Thieves. Starting on the attacking side, they quickly established dominance with a 9-3 lead going into the second half. Continuing their strong performance, 100 Thieves overwhelmed NRG, who struggled to find their footing. A nearly flawless defensive half resulted in a commanding 13-4 victory for 100 Thieves, sealing the series 2-0 in their favor.
