100 Thieves Releases Star Duelist to Make Room for Cryocells

100 Thieves Signs VALORANT Star Cryocells, Releases Will

100 Thieves announced the signing of Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiban to its VALORANT roster for the upcoming 2023 VCT season. Cryocells, a renowned duelist and Chamber player, brings his exceptional skills to the team. As a partnered team, 100T will compete in the Americas league next year.

With the addition of Cryocells, rising star William “Will” Cheng has been released from the team. Will expressed his emotional state in the past 48 hours but remains determined to pursue a professional career. He now enters unrestricted free agency as a primary duelist/flex player, showcasing his versatility and willingness to adapt to different roles. Will is also open to the possibility of relocating for a new opportunity.

As 100T signs Cryocells, the team has deprived the XSET VALORANT roster of its primary Operator. The XSET roster was in talks with G2, who considered signing the entire team. However, G2 failed to secure a partnership slot, leading to Cryocells, zekken, and BcJ becoming restricted free agents. Dephh and AYRIN allowed their contracts to expire.

Cryocells has made a name for himself as one of the top main Operator players worldwide, consistently performing at the same level as renowned players like yay and Derke. It remains to be seen if 100T has any further changes in mind for their roster, as the initial lineup must be submitted to Riot in a few weeks.

If no changes are made, Cryocells will join Asuna, Derrek, stellar, and bang on 100T’s roster.
