100 Thieves adds nitr0 to VALORANT roster, aims to rebuild with Hiko

100 Thieves Announces Addition of Former CS:GO Pro Nitr0 to VALORANT Roster

Today, 100 Thieves made significant changes to its VALORANT team. The organization revealed that it has signed former CS:GO professional player Nick “nitr0” Cannella. This move comes after 100 Thieves struggled to perform well in tournaments, prompting the team to focus on building a squad around nitr0 and team captain Hiko.

Additionally, 100 Thieves has decided to part ways with the former PUBG professionals Valliate, Venerated, YaBoiDre, and Pride as it moves forward. Despite the restructuring, Hiko, the team captain, spoke highly of his former teammates, praising their hard work and expressing his positive feelings towards them.

Hiko stated, “They were super hard workers. I really like them as people… I know there’s no animosity. Ultimately, I think what needs to be said is I was not ever the GM of the team. Never wanted to be. Didn’t expect to be.”

According to Hiko, both nitr0 and himself will have input in choosing the next three signings for 100 Thieves. He also emphasized that they won’t be rushed and will be given the necessary time and space to make the right decisions. However, Hiko made it clear once again that neither he nor nitr0 are general managers.

Notably, nitr0 and Hiko were former CS:GO teammates on Team Liquid.
