10+ cringe names for VALORANT duos

Whether you and your partner play VALORANT together or met in the game, you’ve probably thought about having matching names.

While some may find matching gamer tags cringe, others embrace the idea of having a name that identifies their duo.

During Valentine’s Day, there is usually an influx of players with matching names in VALORANT. Here are some of the cringiest duo names we’ve seen so far.

Cringe VALORANT duo names

Every year around Valentine’s Day, frustrated VALORANT players often complain about encountering duos with names like “I miss her” and “I miss him.” This naming combination has become a meme in the gaming community.

The VALORANT subreddit is filled with posts from players who have encountered countless other cringeworthy duo names. Here is a list of some of the best (or worst) duo names.

  1. Her Jett + His Sage.
  2. Her Mod + His Kitten.
  3. Her Dog + His Treat.
  4. Her Predator + His Prey.
  5. Her Meatballs + His Spaghetti.
  6. Her Toaster + His Bathtub.
  7. Her Charger + His Wall Socket.
  8. His Lilypad + Her Frog.
  9. Her Vent + His Imposter.
  10. Queen Of Hell + King of Hell.
  11. His Loss + Her Profit.

Many other duo names not listed here were sexual in nature, but they go against VALORANT’s policies. Some duo names were offensive, referencing tragic events like 9/11 or the Holocaust.

There was also a reported five-stack of players with the names Never, Gonna, Give, You, and Up, which some players found cringe and repetitive.

According to one player, most of these duo names are used by 13-year-old kids who think they are edgy and funny. Another player commented that they have preconceived notions about playing with someone named “His Sage,” suggesting they might not receive heals in the game. Some players see these names as ironic and intended to make fun of gamer couples or couples who haven’t met in person.

Despite the opinions, the trend of goofy duo names does not seem to be slowing down. If you have a friend or partner, it might be time to come up with a clever name for your next VALORANT match. Just keep in mind that you can only change your name once every 30 days, so don’t break up before then!
