ZeRo switches streaming platform from Twitch to Facebook Gaming

Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios Moves to Facebook Gaming

Top Super Smash Bros. player and streamer Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios has announced that he will now be streaming on Facebook Gaming, a popular streaming platform. This move comes as ZeRo aims to bring his over 500,000 followers to one of Twitch’s competitors.

Continued Growth and Success for ZeRo

After retiring from competitive Smash in 2018, ZeRo has seen his stream grow in popularity. He became one of the most-watched variety channels on Twitch, with over 10,000 viewers tuning in daily to watch his playthroughs of games like Persona 5, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and Pokémon.

The Potential of Facebook

ZeRo cites the desire to do more outside of streaming and the opportunities provided by Facebook as the main reasons for his move. He is excited about collaborating with celebrities and other gamers, as well as exploring new projects with Facebook’s support.

Supporting a Cause

ZeRo’s first stream on Facebook will be a charity stream to support the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). He has always wanted to provide support to charities he believes in, and NAMI is a cause that personally resonates with him.

During this transition, ZeRo and his organization, Tempo Storm, are showing appreciation for their long-time supporters. Those who subscribed to ZeRo’s Twitch channel for a year or more have a chance to win a free shirt.

ZeRo had been teasing a big announcement for several days before revealing his exclusive deal with Facebook. His first stream on Facebook will take place on December 3rd.
